You cannot get closer to nature than this! Our 3 hour nature safari takes you out on a kayak trip out of the ordinary. Together with our experienced guide you will be introduced to Lofotens bird and marine life. Hopefully we even get up close to the majestic sea eagle!
Lofoten’s nature has unique and spectacular contrasts and kayaking is a great way to experience these. When you embark in a sea kayak you practically sit on the surface of the sea and can navigate it using your own bodily strength. You can appreciate Lofoten’s dramatic mountains from a wholly new perspective when you paddle up close to them. It is an experience almost as majestic as standing on top of them.
This trip is suitable for those with little or no kayaking experience. You receive a solid introduction before we embark on the double kayaks from Nyvågar in Kabelvåg where our knowledgeable guides meet you 15 minutes before departure. The duration is three hours. We emphasise giving you the best possible experience!
“The combination of silence, raw nature on all sides, and full freedom of motion, makes sea kayaking one of our most popular adventures”
This is included
- Experienced kayak guide
- Splash cover, paddle, and life vest
Tips and recommendations
Recommendations to get the most out of the experience
The weather in Lofoten changes a lot from day to day, which is some of the charm of the islands. You should dress to suit the weather, and our recommendation is that on a cold summer day you wear wool underwear. It wicks moist away from your body, and you will not get cold even if you sweat or become wet. Since you are in motion throughout the trip, we have no further recommendations for what you wear, but it is a good idea to bring a change of clothing. Bring a water bottle too.
Children over the age of 10 who can swim can participate in the company of an adult. Please meet 15 minutes before set departure time. Other timings and group arrangements on request.
Min: 4 persons, Max: 12 persons. When less then 4 persons booked you will be offered to make the trip from Svolvær.
